 8 principles of responsible gaming

The principles of responsible gaming are the basic principles that establish measures aimed at preventing and minimizing the negative consequences of an individual’s participation in gambling, as well as measures aimed at organizing self-restraint and self-control for players.

  1. Identification of the player (players) or visitor (visitors).

Carried out in the manner determined by the Law of Ukraine “On State Regulation of Activities for the Organization and Conduct of Gambling” (hereinafter – the Law), and detailed in the “Rules and Conditions” of the slot hall.

  2. Restriction of the player's participation in gambling.

The Slot Hall takes measures to prevent persons under the age of 21 from participating in gambling, whose access to participation in gambling is restricted, and individuals with pronounced gambling addiction (ludomania) according to the data of the registry of persons whose access to gambling establishments and/or participation in gambling is restricted. If during the check it is established that the player is present in this registry, his participation in gambling in the slot machine halls will be immediately restricted for the period specified in the registry.

  3. Absence of stimulating the player's losses.

The Slot Hall refrains from providing players with any bonus payments, gifts and/or provision of goods (services) in any form, using other types of incentives, the provision of which is directly or indirectly conditioned by the occurrence of the player’s loss in the respective gambling game.

  4. Prevention of gambling addiction (ludomania).

  5. Self-control and self-restraint.

Players have the right to limit their participation in gambling by setting personal restrictions, as well as a limit on the amount of money they wish to spend on gambling, in accordance with the Law. Additionally, upon players’ requests, their email or phone number can be removed from the slot machine hall’s mailings and Website.

Responsible gaming in the casino involves acknowledging the following rules and facts:

  • Participation in gambling can lead to both winning and losing money without any further compensation.
  • Do not allow gambling to consume all of your free time.
  • Casino gaming should always be seen as entertainment, not as a means of enrichment.
  • Read about and be aware of the symptoms of gambling addiction, and periodically check yourself for their presence.
  • Wins in gambling games are random, and there are no “systems.” The chances of winning in gambling games (RTP), according to the Law, cannot be lower than 90% per 1 million spins.
  • Set your own limits on the amount of money you can spend within a clearly defined period of time.

  • If luck seems to be running out, take a break or refrain from playing.
  • After a loss, do not attempt to immediately recover the lost amount. It’s better to take a break.
  • Play with enjoyment, in a good mood, and enjoy the gaming process itself.
  • Do not hesitate to seek support and objective evaluation of your behavior from friends, relatives, or the Club’s support service.
  • Do not gamble with your last money or money set aside for specific purchases.
  • If you find it difficult to implement the measures outlined in the previous points, perhaps you should contact the Slot Hall or the Authorized Authority with a self-restriction statement.
How to Identify Symptoms of Addiction?

Gambling games are just one form of entertainment and should not take up too much of your time. Furthermore, they should not become a source of income or an alternative source of earnings. To timely identify symptoms of gambling addiction, it is very useful to periodically take the following test:

  • Do you spend most of your free time on gambling games?
  • Do you feel the urge to return to gambling immediately after winning to win even more?
  • Do you spend most of your earnings on gambling games?
  • Have you been at risk of losing your home or job due to your gambling addiction?
  • Do you occasionally borrow money for gambling games?
  • Have your relationships with loved ones deteriorated due to your tendency to spend a large amount of time or money on gambling games?
  • Have you ever felt the urge to return to gambling as soon as possible to recover your losses?
  • Have you ever had to urgently sell things or take them to a pawnshop to get money for gambling games?
  • Have you experienced disruptions in sleep patterns due to excessive gambling addiction?
  • Do you gamble to avoid loneliness, boredom, or the need to solve problems?
  • Have you ever lied about how much money or time you spend on gambling games?

If you answered yes to three or more of the above questions, you most likely have gambling problems. If not, it's still important to maintain self-control.

What to do if you have symptoms of addiction?
  • If you feel that gambling is becoming difficult to control, do not ignore these signs. Addiction is much easier to overcome when you have support, so try to speak openly with someone you trust, such as close relatives or friends.
  • You can also contact Slot Hall’s support service or submit a self-restriction request to the authorized authority by completing the statement online. You may choose the restriction period yourself, but it must be no shorter than 6 months and no longer than 3 years. If no period is specified, the Club will apply a 6-month restriction automatically. Please note that once submitted, the self-restriction statement cannot be revoked.
  • For professional assistance, you may contact specialized healthcare institutions that provide mental health and addiction-related support. A list of relevant medical institutions is available via the provided link. You can also find additional social and psychological support services on the Ministry of Social Policy’s interactive support map. To better understand whether your gambling behavior may indicate addiction, you may complete the Gambling Addiction Official Online Test.

Do not be ashamed to ask for help. Timely support can help you regain control and return to a healthier, more stable life.

The Slot Hall urges you to take care of your health and behavior. If you have any doubts about your attitude towards gambling or if you notice symptoms of unhealthy behavior in your close relative, take immediate action by implementing the measures outlined in this section or seeking help and advice from the Slot Hall’s support service at info@slotgames.com.ua
